Steffen Niemietz, an application engineer in research and development at Liqui Moly, also visited the shop to address common queries and debunk misconceptions about their additives.
Liqui Moly Engine Flush:
Liqui Moly Engine Flush is a chemical additive that is designed to clean the internal parts of the engine by removing deposits and sludge. The product is added to the engine oil before an oil change and allowed to circulate through the engine for a short period of time, typically 10-15 minutes.
During this time, the engine flush works by dissolving and suspending harmful deposits and contaminants in the oil, including dirt, varnish, and carbon buildup. These contaminants are then drained out with the old oil when the oil change is performed.
The Engine Flush contains special cleaning agents and detergents that help break down these deposits and contaminants, allowing them to be easily removed from the engine. It is designed to be safe for use in all gasoline and diesel engines, including turbocharged and supercharged engines.
Liqui Moly Cera Tec:
While Liqui Moly Engine Flush cleaned the engine while you are changing the engine oil, Cera Tec works differently. It is added to the engine oil and works by creating a protective ceramic coating on the metal surfaces inside the engine. In essence, LIQUI MOLY Cera Tec is a ceramic-based engine oil additive that is designed to reduce friction and wear in the engine, leading to improved performance and longer engine life.
When the engine is running, the Cera Tec additive is distributed throughout the oil, and the ceramic particles bond to the metal surfaces inside the engine, forming a durable and long-lasting protective layer. This layer helps to reduce friction and wear, which can help to improve engine performance and extend the life of the engine.
The Cera Tec additive is also designed to be compatible with all types of engine oils, including synthetic, semi-synthetic, and mineral-based oils. It can be used in gasoline and diesel engines, including those with turbochargers and other high-performance components.
Liqui Moly Jectron Fuel Injector Cleaner:
As you can guess from the name, this one is for cleaning the fuel injectors. It is a chemical additive that is designed to clean and optimize the fuel injectors in gasoline engines. The product works by removing harmful deposits and contaminants that can accumulate in the fuel system over time.
When added to the fuel tank, the Jectron Fuel Injector Cleaner is distributed throughout the fuel system and begins to break down and dissolve any buildup of dirt, varnish, and other contaminants that can clog the fuel injectors. This helps to restore the fuel system's proper function, leading to better engine performance, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
The Jectron Fuel Injector Cleaner contains powerful cleaning agents and detergents that are safe for use in all gasoline engines, including those with catalytic converters and oxygen sensors. It is also designed to be compatible with all types of gasoline, including ethanol-blended fuels.
LIQUI MOLY Diesel System Cleaner
Diesel System Cleaner works as its name suggests, gasoline system cleaner must be applied once a year. Cleaning your fuel system, especially your fuel injectors, will help remove gasoline stains.
LIQUI MOLY Valve Clean
Valve Clean is specifically designed to remove carbon deposits from the back side of intake valves in non-direct-injected vehicles and is not recommended for use in direct-injected vehicles.
LIQUI MOLY Speed Tec Gasoline
Unlike most believe, Speed Tec gasoline additive does not raise the octane rating of fuel. Rather, it improves the atomization of gasoline, which results in better throttle response. Additionally, this additive has a cleaning effect on the combustion chambers, helping to keep them clean.
LIQUI MOLY MoS2
As something helpful for old engines, MoS2 is an anti-friction agent that is added to your engine oil. This process does not require the use of chemical agents and is suitable for older engines.
