Other common symptoms of failure include excessive vibration or ?slap? from the timing chain, all pointing to the possible damaging of your engine. When left unresolved, the issue can compound itself so far as to allow the timing chain to jump out of time, leaving you with potentially destroyed head components and large repair costs.
