If your V6 B5 is like most other B5's out on the road today, you have probably noticed a lot of oil leaks. This is a very common problem and is generally caused by the PCV and check valve, along with deteriorating breather hoses.

When the PCV fails, this creates back pressure in the system and blows out the valve cover gaskets as well as the cam seals creating oil leaks. This can also cause cracks in the already weak breather hoses as well creating vacuum leaks.
