The wheel bearing is tasked with keeping the wheel hub rotating smoothly. It is exposed to abuse in the form of potholes, bumps, heat, and many miles of use. Wheel bearing failure can sound like a howling noise to grinding sound, and can also cause your steering wheel to shake at highway speeds. 

This wheel bearing assembly is an updated component which requires M12x1.25 screws. The factory bolts measure M12x1.5mm, so they cannot be used upon reassembly. Thankfully, ECS knows of this update and has created this kit to provide easy ordering and installation. A new wheel bearing bolt is also included as the factory bolt is torque-to-yield. 

How do I know if my wheel bearing has failed?

• Whining, growling, scraping, howling, or grinding noise when the vehicle is in motion
• Noticeable heat emission from the wheel that is experiencing bearing failure
• Clicking noise when turning under load
• ABS warning light illuminated
• Steering wheel vibration
• Uneven tire wear
• Off-center steering wheel, vehicle pulling to one side of the road
