The fuel pump is located outside of the fuel tank on your Mercedes-Benz, underneath a protective plate. It is used not only to send fuel to the engine, while a sending unit sends a signal to the fuel gauge to let you know how much fuel remains in the tank.
The fuel pump will last quite a long time, but that does not mean that it is immune to failure. Just like any other electro-mechanical item on your car, the fuel pump will wear out over time.
Symptoms of a failing fuel pump may include hard starts, or a no start condition. If you think your fuel pump is failing, replace it today with a quality part from ECS Tuning.
If you are replacing your fuel pump, now would be the perfect time to replace your fuel filter as they are located next to one another. This will help keep your car running as well as it did when it was new.
