Designed and engineered by our in house R&D team, the ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover creates a visual underhood transformation like no other! Made from authentic, hand laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated carbon fiber cloth, epoxy resin and then finished in a durable gloss clear coat for UV-protection and extra durability, this engine cover is sure to be turning heads!
Our R&D Team spent a considerable amount of time designing every feature to perfectly execute the strict styling requirements associated atop the MK8 engine. After multiple design iterations, ensuring that every edge and every line was made to perfectly compliment the complex and unique features that the MK8 engine bears, we were finally satisfied with the shear beauty and styling transformation that our Carbon Fiber Engine Cover provides.
Further design considerations were strategically made such as clearance for "most" aftermarket intake systems, ECS catch can breather hoses, OEM and ECS oil dipstick functionality and perfect accommodations to clear the ignition coil harness. Styling amongst the engine itself were added into our design including the intake manifold plenum shape where our engine cover perfectly wraps and covers the unpleasing OE plastic intake manifold. Individual intake runner profiles compliment the OE design and further add engine bay styling; being careful not to take any mechanical styling away from the engine our engineers worked to keep the engine looking like an engine. Slots between the intake runner covers keep cleaning and maintenance down as no dirt can be trapped between the runners.
PART DESIGN
Made from lightweight, hand-laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin, then autoclave cured and finished in a durable gloss clear coat for UV and heat protection for continuous operating temperatures of up to 300° F.
Includes OEM-sourced engine cover grommets for ease of install and removal
Engine oil cap functionality is retained so you can easily top-off your engine oil between services without engine cover removal.
Openings within the engine cover expose the ignition coils to compliment our similar styling to the MK7 Gen3 TSI ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover.
Compatible with OEM and ECS air intake systems

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Our ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover was thoroughly tested and inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.
