Flushing and replacing differential fluid is one way to ensure that excess wear doesn't occur to avoid costly issues down the road. Your owner's manual should specify the correct service intervals for a differential flush and refill. When servicing the rear differential, it is a great idea to replace your drain/fill plugs and flange seals, as these items are prone to leaks in your high mileage differential.
This kit is also includes ECS Tuning's Magnetic Drain and Fill plugs to help keep abrasive and ferrous metal particles from circulating through the differential. These magnetic plugs use a very common and handy 17mm hex head, eliminating the need for the special allen socket needed to remove the factory style plugs.
