Shock and Strut Nut Installer/Remover Kit

The BAVauto shock and strut upper nut remover/installer tool kit allows the DIYer or technician to properly and safely remove and install the upper securing nut where the shock or strut shaft is secured to the upper mount assembly. Using this tool kit assures that the new shock or strut warranty is not voided due to the use of an impact tool (using an impact tool on the nut can result in breaking the shock/strut shaft).

The tool kit includes 10 shock shaft adapters and 7 shock nut sockets to fit all BMW and MINI applications, as well as most other makes and models.

The specially designed sockets fit down over the shock/strut shaft and onto the securing nut. The included special ratchet is placed down over the socket. The appropriate shock shaft adapter is then inserted through the center of the socket and engaged with the end of the shock/strut shaft. A standard ?? drive ratchet is used to connect with the shock/strut shaft adapter. Simply hold the shock/strut shaft with the ?? drive ratchet and shaft adapter, while tightening the nut with the special ratchet and socket. For final tightening to specified torque, a torque wrench can be used in place of the ?? drive ratchet, on the shock/strut shaft adapter.
